Terms of Service
Effective October 25, 2026
The short version
You pay one flat monthly fee. We plan, build, and manage Google Ads campaigns in your own Google Ads account. Nothing that affects your ad spend happens without your approval, and your monthly ceiling is enforced in our software. You can cancel anytime; service runs to the end of the month you have paid for, and we do not refund partial months. Your ad budget is paid to Google directly and never passes through us.
Who we are and what you are agreeing to
Ascetic (ascetic.us) is a managed Google Ads service for gyms and other small businesses. By creating an account, confirming your intake, or paying for a subscription, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are signing up for a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind that business to these terms.
What the service is
We read your business details, draft a campaign plan for you to review, build the approved plan in your Google Ads account, and review it weekly. Weekly reviews make safe clean-ups automatically (for example, adding negative keywords or pausing a keyword that is wasting money) and put any change that could increase spend in front of you for approval. You receive a written report every week. Plans and reports are drafted with the help of AI and are written for you to read and decide on.
Your Google Ads account stays yours
Campaigns are built inside your own Google Ads account, which you own along with everything in it: the campaigns, the data, and the history. You give Ascetic manager access so we can do the work, and you can revoke that access at any time from Google Ads. Google bills your ad spend to the payment method you keep on file with Google. We never hold a card for ad spend and never take a percentage of it. You are responsible for keeping your Google Ads billing in good standing and for complying with Google's advertising policies.
Approvals and your spending ceiling
Our software can only propose changes that affect spend; a recorded approval from you is the only thing that lets one happen. You set a hard monthly ceiling. Our software will not build or enable anything whose budgets could exceed it, and a daily check pauses all campaigns automatically when spend reaches 95% of the ceiling and emails us both. Google itself may spend up to twice a campaign's daily budget on a given day but no more than the monthly equivalent of that daily budget, which is why we size daily budgets so the monthly total fits inside your ceiling.
Fees and billing
The fee for your plan is shown on the pricing page and on your Billing page, and is billed monthly in advance through Stripe. A founding rate stays locked at that amount for as long as your subscription remains continuously active; if you cancel and later return, the then-current rate applies. If we ever change a non-founding price, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Fees do not include your ad spend or any taxes that apply, which are your responsibility.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your Billing page (through Stripe's secure portal) or by emailing hello@ascetic.us. Your service continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops. We do not refund partial months. If a payment fails, we will let you know and keep service running briefly while you update your card; if it is not fixed, we will pause your campaigns and suspend the service until it is. If we end the service ourselves for a reason other than your breach of these terms, we will refund the unused portion of your current month.
What we do not promise
We work to bring you members at a sensible cost, and we will tell you plainly what the numbers say. We cannot guarantee a particular number of clicks, leads, signups, or members, and we cannot control Google: Google may review, limit, or disapprove ads, or restrict an account, and we will tell you when that happens and help resolve it. We may decline to run copy, offers, or targeting that we believe would violate Google's policies or the law.
Your responsibilities
Keep the business details you give us accurate, including prices and offers, since ads are written from them. Only upload photos, logos, and other assets you have the right to use, and give us permission to use them in your campaigns and in previews shown only to you. Keep your sign-in credentials private. Use the service only for your own business and for lawful advertising.
Data and privacy
How we collect, use, and protect your information, including Google Ads data accessed with your authorization, is described in our Privacy Policy. Every change made to your ad account through Ascetic is recorded in an audit log you can ask us for at any time.
Ending the relationship
Either of us can end the service at any time. When it ends, we stop managing your account, pause the campaigns Ascetic created unless you ask us to leave them running, and remove our manager access when you ask. Everything stays in your Google Ads account. We may suspend or end the service immediately if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or if continuing would put us in breach of Google's policies or the law.
Limits on liability
The service is provided as described here, without other warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, Ascetic is not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect or consequential damages, and is not liable for your ad spend, which is paid to Google under your agreement with Google. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the service fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, in which case these apply only as far as permitted.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Virginia. Questions about these terms: hello@ascetic.us.
