Who we are
Ascetic (ascetic.us) is a service that plans, builds, and manages Google Ads campaigns for small businesses, with every spend-affecting change approved by the account owner. Questions about this policy: privacy@ascetic.us.
What we collect
Account information you provide (name, email address); business details you enter during onboarding (business name, address, offers, pricing, website URLs, budget limits); Google Ads account data accessed through the Google Ads API with your authorization (campaign configuration, performance metrics, search terms); and service usage logs, including an audit record of every change made to your ad account through Ascetic.
How we use it
Solely to operate the service: drafting campaign plans for your approval, building and managing campaigns you have approved, enforcing the budget ceiling you set, generating performance reports, and providing support. Portions of your business details and ad performance data are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate plans and reports.
Google user data
Ascetic's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access your Google Ads account only after you link it, only to provide the features described above, and never sell that data or use it for advertising to anyone else.
Sharing
We never sell your data. It is shared only with the service providers that run Ascetic — hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), transactional email (Resend), and AI processing (Anthropic) — and with Google, as required to manage your ads account at your direction.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Email privacy@ascetic.us to delete your account and associated data. You can revoke Ascetic's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
